Yucca- Plants such as agave or yucca have needle-sharp leaves, and getting too close can leave you with a cut or skin abrasion.
Acacia trees- Acacia trees (in the bean family) have spines made of modified leaf stipules. There are also plants whose entire leaves have been converted into spines, as is the case with cacti. All of these spines are dead at maturity, full of fibers, and no longer capable of photosynthesis.
Succulent- Any plant with thick fleshy tissues adapted to water storage. Some succulents (e.g., cacti) store water only in the stem and have no leaves or very small leaves, whereas others (e.g., agaves) store water mainly in the leaves.
