Seems to me that this question is about Psychology and Physiology, NOT “History and the Middle Ages”, although the strange wording of the question does make one wonder where it came from. As an undergrad’, I recall getting a splitting headache from wearing an eye-patch over one eye, and a prism over the other, which made everything appear shifted 20 degrees to the side. I was then invited to point at a marker (while unable to actually see my hand) and where I was pointig was carefuully measured. Then the prism was removed, and the experiment repeated. (Not just for me - thousands of other subjects took the test as well) You know where you’re pointing thanks to a network of nerve endings called “Prociceptors”, which report their locations back to your brain.
