yes, because teacher must Respect by the students,I'm not saying that don't respect your friend,we are talking to our friends with bad words and jokes but it's ok because they are your friends they know you and understand it,but you can't lett jokes Ang bad words to your teacher because they must be respect by you

It really depends on the kind of relationship you have with your friend or teacher but it is with great importance that you talk to your teacher with utmost respect and more polite and formal than your friend. They are your teachers and they should be treated as persons with authority. On the other hand, talking to your friend would mean a more casual and informal talk since you know each other on a more personal level.
