1.Properties of sound are speed, loudness, and pitch.
Speed -The speed of sound is the distance travelled per unit of time by a sound wave as it propagates through an elastic medium.
Loudness- also known as acoustic intensity, is defined as the power carried by sound waves per unit area in a direction perpendicular to that area.
Pitch-The pitch of a sound is how high or low the sound is.
2.Temperature is another condition that affects the speed of sound. Heat, like sound, is a form of kinetic energy. Molecules at higher temperatures have more energy and can vibrate faster and allow sound waves to travel more quickly. The speed of sound at room temperature air is 346 meters per second.
