There can be no fixed ideas to improve a society, but rather it would depend on how far it has already come and where it stands right now. Besides this, what the society need and what the people want would also play hand in improvement.
However, there are some basic elements which make an ideal society with happy inhabitants. No discrimination of any sort, be it caste, gender or religion and sense of mutual peace should be instilled in all people to profess harmony. Also, curbing sharp protests against the domination of a religion or gender would lead to a more balanced society. More over, when we look at aspects such as environment, it is only the actions of people that can bring about a change. Initiating cleanliness campaigns, respecting all life forms, and even respect among people themselves. Above all this, the government should be such that the people have faith in its actions. A decision or an action of the government or of any community should not contradict or hamper the principles of another community. Religious promotions and causes should be limited to an extent whereby they don't affect other people. First and foremost value should be given to protecting the rights of every individual in a society whenever an action is taken. And it is the responsibility of the people to preserve their rights, and that of their fellow beings.
