The greatest lesson I have learned from the Holocaust is about the tragic consequences of hatred and bigotry. The Nazis murdered millions of innocent people because they did not fit their idea of the "Aryan race", which, of course, is a complete fiction. Such acts of brutality may be prevented from happening again by international co-operation dedicated to overthrowing regimes such as Hitler's Nazi Germany and by the condign punishment of those convicted of war crimes. Unfortunately, these measures may not be enough to absolutely prevent reoccurrences of the brutality of the Nazis.
