Lead by example. It is the most effective way to contribute. Though this way may be kind of passive. If we are to preach about it though, people may know, yes, but they might not find it useful as of the moment. I think another way is to guide (at least 1 person) like a parent, that way you can influence a future generation (the future kids, etc).
