What is Geographic Grid?
Geographic grid is the system of using degrees of longitude and latitude to establish positions on the Earth's surface, with the Equator and the Prime Meridian as reference points.
- Latitude are lines that run parallel to the Equator, that ranges from 0° at the Equator to 90° at the poles. It runs around the Earth horizontally.
- Longitude are lines that run east or west of the Prime Meridian, that runs around the Earth vertically. It ranges from 0° at the Prime Meridian to 180° at the International Date Line.
