  • Both uses the same units.  
  • Both measure length.

  • Distance is different in displacement. Let say "If you are going to travel by taxi cab, you are charge based on distance or displacement"
  • If your are travelling by taxi, the charge is based on distance not displacement. Distance is the amount of length you travelled starting from starting point until you reach your destination. While displacement is only the distance from the starting point to the destination in a straight line measurement and it does not measure the total amount of you travelled from starting point to the destination.
