Meteors are small rocky bodies that comes from space. They are bodies that are near-Earth objects that burns up in the atmosphere, which creates flash of lights in the night sky.
For meteoroids, it is another word for meteor, except that it floats in interplanetary space, and haven't been burn up in the Earth's atmosphere.
Another word for meteors also is meteorite. Meteorite is just a meteor that survives while being burned up and hits the ground.
