I completely agree with what Marzita told. The teacher in India is called as "ACHARYA", which means a person who leads through actions. Apart from that Idea, sharing my little knowledge,
Value is something that is not be taught but to be followed. The value education starts from the parent who sends the child to the school to the driver who takes him back to home. Each and every person associated with the school should follow the values which need to be inculcated in the student. The strategies which could be adopted for the following are:
1. Give periodical training to all the non-teaching staff and contract workers associated with the school.
2. Make teachers role model and encourage them to lead a life of good value.
3. Once in every semester the teacher should visit the students home and build in good relation with his parents to discuss about his life style.
4. The syllabus of study should include a glance of all universal religions, through stories which keeps the child glued.
5. The national and local heroes should always be projected and their biography and actions need to be discussed and highlighted regularly.
6. The respect that a student has towards his teacher reflects the intensity of the values he absorbed. This need to be nurtured.
7. There should a monthly progress report made which reflects the progress of character traits that he possesses. An instrument for character test can be used for this.
