Why is repentance important?

Repentance is important because sin dishonors God, so if we repent it then God is just to forgive and purify us. We should strengthen our relationship with the Lord by confessing and repenting our sins. According to 2 Timothy 2:25-26 that repentance leads us to a knowledge of truth. According to Luke 5:32 that God call sinners to repentance.
Repentance According to the Bible:
- Luke 13:3 “No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.”
- 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
- Luke 5:32 “I have not come to call the righteous , but sinners to repentance.”
- 2 Timothy 2:25–26 “Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.
