PROSPECT NAME OF MY ADVOCACY: CLASSROOM ON WHEELS
BACKGROUND:
Out of School Youth is one of the problems that some people have had aims to lessen it. Since the numbers of children not going to school is increasing due to different circumstances like financial deprivation, poverty, and the likes, children are unable to learn something which is really necessary for their well- being. Not being educated is very hard. Not all children are given the opportunity to go to school, so, this is why letting students have the chance to learn is what most matters. That's why my advocacy is to help out of school children to be able to learn like reading and writing which is very essential for everyday living.
AIM:
The aims of this advocacy are as follows:
1. To lessen out of school children.
2. To help children experience the good side of learning.
3. To help children know that they are capable of learning despite of their status in life
4. To empower them for who they are
5. To teach them not only about read ing and writing, but also good manners as well.
OBJECTIVES:
To be able to achieve the aims of this advocacy, the objective is to make children learn or attend the classroom on wheels even like three times a week. And for the other volunteers, I hope they will have more patience on teaching. Likewise, for some officials or person who wants to help, a little donation is acceptable may be it is in kind or in cash.
TARGETS:
The beneficiary of this campaign are those out of school children aged 7-15 years old.
PARTNERSHIP:
1. Municipality of the community.
2. Teachers association or any other volunteers.
3. Public officials
ACTIVITIES AND OUTPUTS
1. Every session of the classroom on wheels, students will get to have the chance to read and write. The volunteer students or teachers will guide them in every alphabet they will have to undertake.
2. Every end of the class, the acting teachers will have the students to read simple words in a flash cards to harness or test their learning on that day.
3. There will be also a pair up activity between the students to improve or practice their social skills or behavior with other people.
TIMELINE:
The activity will set 3 times a week . Also it could take 2 months to teach every out school youth every barangay of the community or municipality.
BUDGET
Every week we might need for school supplies to be given to the children per barangay, foods for the students and the volunteers as well. It might take 4000- 8000 I guess. But still, it will depends on each circumstances.
